Clean room, hot shower. Comfy bed.
Building appears tired and needs attention. Tiny parking spaces and a loose lamp wire.

When we stayed the hotel was quite quiet and we were offered a choice of rooms. Staff were very friendly and whilst no en-suite in our room there were two very clean bathrooms available. We were staying as a family to get early ferry to ireland and location and room was ideal for us.
A bit of noise from pub down stairs. But not bad enough to put us off staying there again.

Clearly geared to 1 night ferry users and they did this well.
Rooms ok but basic, bathroom could have been more spacious.

Absolutely disapointing, I expected a warm welcome. Instead, I found dirty curtains and walls so thin that I shared a 'lovely' conversation through my wall. The staff must be overwhelmed, considering they don't even offer upgrades to embarrassed returning guests. I almost gave a good review, just couldn't! This was a total letdown, really.

This hotel advertised restaurant and bar neither of which actually existed. The hotel looked a little derelict from the outside. The chalets were at the back.

My room was great value for money and well-appointed thanks to the very very helpful staff. The setting was quite handy and easy within easy reach of Castle of st John. And the area was quiet, just off local restaurants and takeaways local supermarkets as well as the main centre.

Loved the location in the pub attached. The unit we got was neat with private bathroom, comfy bed, for example.

Quiet stay in Stranraer 🌅
Loved the quiet vibe here. The private entry from the parking. The shower was lekker hot, perfect after a long day. Our host was super helpful, made sure we were sorted with anything we needed!

Very friendly staff, and no problems with late check in.
Very lumpy beds, old furniture and the fire alarm was falling off the ceiling. The curtains were very light, so the room very bright at 6 in the morning. Skimpy breakfast, 1 slice of burned bacon and 1 sausage. Cheap and cheerful.

For a disabled traveller room 5 is excellent as the shower is easy access in and out being a twin room their is a choice of is a soft mattress and a firm one. The chef was very good and bought my breakfast to my room each day as getting up steps is a problem for me personally. Good for point of being able to park at door of chalet.
For solo disabled traveller this hotel would be difficult to access if you are in a wheelchair or have problems climbing steps to public area.

Good value and very clean rooms.
The walls in my room were quite thin. I also found the check-in process a bit confusing, especially since I arrived late at night and had to look around the back to find an entrance. The hot water in the shower was inconsistent at times, disappointing after a long day of travel.
